Had been pissin it down all morning and looked horrible outside even though it was pretty windy, then the rain stopped and Phil rang to see if I was going out.
Got there and Phil had his 3.5 rigged and Chris was on a 4.1 i think. My smallest sail was my 4.7 so rigged that as flat as I could and knew I would be overpowered.
Got out there on the water and the setup felt perfect for the first few runs with a few nice little jumps to be made. Then as Phil went in to change his broken fin, the wind picked up 10 knots or so and got very gusty which meant survival sailing. The wind picked up even further and every run; I was too overpowered which meant gybing impossible.
I also fell through my sail on one of the jumps which created a tear by the luff tube about a foot long. Luckily enough, the rip stop material stopped it tearing further but its still gonna have to be repaired.
Good fun even in the tricky conditions and Chris's wife was takin some good shots once again of us 3. I thinka 4.2m sail woulda been ideal if I had one!
